The Bride’s mother passed away unexpectedly the week before their wedding. Her presence was felt throughout the day in different ways.

Back in September, my husband (well fiance at the time), Justin, and I found out we were expecting with a due date of June 1st! We were both very excited. We were married on November 2nd in Marathon Florida and had a wonderful time! We will fast forward to April since that’s where my last blog leaves off. At my OB appointment at the end of April, my blood pressure was a little high. I also had quite a bit of swelling in my feet and legs so my doctor put me on bedrest! I had to see my doctor twice a week to monitor my blood pressure and the baby. At my May 16th appointment, my blood pressure was too high and my doctor decided it was time to induce me. At 10:53pm Lyla Kat was born weighing 5lbs 12.2oz and was 17.5 inches long. She has stolen my heart (and my time!) since that very minute.

Another thing that has kept me busy is that my husband deployed when Lyla was just 11 days old. So while my husband is training for his deployment, I’ve been home taking care of our little girl who will be 2 months old next week! It’s definitely been an adjustment for me and I think will continue to be an adjustment. So for those who are friends with me on facebook know I’ve been posting lots of photos of Lyla. I’ve been taking at least one photo a day and post them on facebook since that is the easiest (and quickest) way for my husband see his little girl grow.

Melanie was 7 days old when I met with her and her mom. I also did her big brother’s newborn session, well almost newborn since he decided to come a lot earlier than his baby sister. Melanie decided 2 weeks early was early enough! She was so good during her session, just a champion sleeper! She even smiled for me right away at the beginning of our session! Miss B is almost 5 months old and we had so much fun during her photo session! We originally were going to do the session in December but a little snowstorm ruined that! She was full of smiles and such a cute and happy little girl! Here are a few photos.

Jordan and Erin asked to take photos of them for Christmas and we had fun! They are now “neighbors” of mine as they bought their first house, so we did their session in their new house! It’s adorable and I am in love with their kitchen! Here are a few of my favorites from their session!
